Indian ODI skipper Rohit Sharma continues to silence retirement speculation after recently sharing a training picture on Instagram, where he looked fitter than ever. He’s set to return in India colors during the upcoming Australia tour.
Since Rohit announced his retirement from Test cricket back in April, conversations have shifted toward his ODI future, especially with India scheduled to play only three ODIs this year. The BCCI and selectors are rumored to have made plans beyond him, but Rohit, who remains focused on the 2027 ODI World Cup, has been putting in serious work at the gym to stay match-fit.

He recently took part in the annual Yo-Yo fitness test at the NCA in Bengaluru and reportedly scored high marks, confirming his readiness for the Australian ODI tour. There was initial speculation that Rohit might feature in the unofficial ODI series against Australia, but recent updates confirmed he won’t be part of that lineup.
