Yuvraj Singh Urges Abhishek Sharma & Shubman Gill to Take Up Golf for Performance and Relaxation
World Cup winner Yuvraj Singh, speaking at a recent event, said he believes he would have scored 3,000 more international runs if he had played golf more often during his career. With this in mind, he encouraged both Abhishek and Shubman to try golf.
"I would have scored 3,000 more runs," said Yuvraj. "I tell all young cricketers to try playing golf, hit the ball, and see how it feels. Sometimes, too much practice isn't good for you. When you're not scoring runs, you want to practice more, and with golf, you want to hit more balls as well. But sometimes, it's important to relax."

Yuvraj Singh: Golf Helps Players Relax, Recover, and Stay Mentally Fresh
When asked how golf would benefit the players, Yuvraj explained that it helps relax and free the mind, keeping players mentally fresh for the game.
"I feel that any sport that helps you relax is less taxing on the body and more beneficial for the mind. If you look at the cricket culture in Australia, South Africa, and England, most of the best players have played golf from a young age. How can you recover and stay mentally fresh for a game? It's not just cricket any sportsperson should play golf because, eventually, it brings out the best in their main sport," Yuvraj concluded.
